5PMWeb.com Getting It Done Before 5pm

Submitted by Craig Agranoff on Thursday, 19 February 2009 View Comments

picture-185PMWeb.com is a task management tool designed to make getting things done easier. It’s browser-based and very project/task-oriented. Groups can collaborate through 5PMWeb (as far as task completion/assignments) and deadlines and milestones can be set with reminders.

Support for various timeline views and reports, RSS, rollover quick stats, variable access rights for multiple users, and so forth make for a compellingly useful tool.

The tool has been evolving for five years and is well-vetted. The interface is highly customizable too. Most will likely find the site useful, especially when working in groups or teams. Small groups with simple tasks might not have a lot of use for 5PMWeb, but larger groups or teams working on an overall project will probably wonder how they got along without it.

The greatest boon comes from the site’s intuitively simple interface. When you log in and look at your tasks or projects list, you’ll find that pretty much everything you need to know at a glance is right there on the screen already—without cluttering. The “hover” tool that allows a synopsis to be displayed when you hover your mouse over an icon orpicture-19 listing gives depth to an otherwise clean list.

Charts with timelines and current statuses on things can be made on the fly, along with more in-depth reports for those dreaded PST meetings.

Overall, 5PMWeb lives up to its motto of helping you get more done before 5pm. The site is free to try for fourteen days and prices after that start at $14.95 $ 18.00 per month. This is definitely one of the better task management resources out there.

5pm really sucks, their project management software is a load of crap, they basically robbed me. I would not recommend them to anyone.. I was a little weary when I read a similar review, but when i selected someone I thought that It may not be true.. but now Here I am, unsatisfied..
    I give thier product 2 / 10…

As of using 5pmweb on 1/30 I haven't had any lag issues, and we've been using it pretty robustly.
  • Thank you for the review

One correction - the prices start at $18/month. Your account has a discount applied to it, probably.
