Accel Partners – A New Stake In An Ecommerce Site

It is not uncommon to hear of companies investing in ecommerce sites nowadays. Ecommerce is moving from strength to strength and this means that investments in the sector can end up being highly rewarded.

Facebook was one of the sites that previously received support from Accel Partners, so the company clearly know how to pick a good option. Now Accel has invested money in another ecommerce site called Showroomprive.com.

This site is in French and caters mainly for the French and Spanish markets at present. It focuses on designer clothing and sells it at vastly reduced prices. You are required to become a member of the site before you can take advantage of the deals that it offers.

Had it not been for Accel Partners’ investment, we may never have heard of Showroomprive.com at all outside of these countries. But Accel Partners has backed good runners before, so the site certainly has the potential to make us sit up and take notice. Perhaps the website will develop beyond its limited membership at present and extend to other countries as well.

Whatever the outcome may be, the 37 million Euro investment shows the faith that Accel Partners has in this venture. Ecommerce is a fast growing sector online and lots of people are getting involved in lots of different ways. It will be interesting to see how the website develops in the near future, and whether this scale of investment prompts others to start their own sites.

Basically you’re going to need to make an HTML form with some inputs so
the user can input whatever data you need for a user. Also, you need to
set the action attribute on the form to the name of the file that will process the information (php, python, jsp, etc file).
