JS-Kit Gets 3.6 Million In a Series B Round

Submitted by Craig Agranoff on Tuesday, 14 October 2008 View Comments

JS-Kit, an application company and blog enhancer has raised $3.6 Million in a Series B round of funding.  The funding was led by Altos Ventures.  Prior to this round, JS-Kit raised $1.2 Million in August 2007 from The Entrepreneurs’ Fund III.

JS-Kit currently has widgets being run on 550,000 sites. Their widgets are easily installed on webistes, which has added to their popularity.  Most of us are probably familiar with their commenting widget on Wordpress.  They plan on using the newly infused capital to expand their team of engineers, which currently numbers 12.  JS-Kit JS-Kit has also hired Chris Saad, who is the co-founder of the DataPortability Project as a strategic advisor.

Their widgets include polls, ratings, commenting, and are as simple as adding some lines of code onto your webpage.
