Orggit – Keep Your Critical Information At the Ready All the Time

Submitted by Craig Agranoff on Monday, 19 October 2009 5 Comments

orggitAll of us have critical information, of course.  We have passwords, telephone numbers, bank account information, etc. and all of this stuff (hopefully) gets stored in our heads.  But what do you do when you’re on the road or stuck at the office and you need to know it and now?

When calling your spouse or digging for a file hidden on your iPhone isn’t good enough, there’s Orggit.com.

Used for everything from medical records storage to account access codes to just being a virtual filing cabinet, Orggit stores anything you want to keep available to you at any time.  Or available to your designated delegates should something happen.  The information is stored securely and now there’s an iPhone app so you can get it on the go, anywhere.

In fact, those items I mentioned are the sections within Orggit itself.  Each of these are the fast-access file folders for your information, into which you can upload documents, enter free-form text to be saved, etc.  These also allow you to designate who can and can’t have access to things.  So if you set up your son or daughter, say, as an emergency delegate, they can access your medical information, but not your financials (Wallet).  So in a medical emergency, your children can have the same access to your medical records that your spouse would, making it easier for emergency doctors to find someone who can let them know what they might need to know.

Orggit is definitely a great idea and it’s very affordable at only $49/year.  It’s a good all-in-one solution for this type of thing.  The site was founded and is run by Thania Panopoulos and is owned by Morgan Street Document Systems, LLC.
