If you’re in a business that requires you to be out and about but still be accessible for clients to reach in order to schedule appointments and meetings, you’ve likely found that playing voice mail tag isn’t the most convenient way to set up scheduling. Schedgit is similar to the latter, but with one big twist: it’s free. It’s entirely web-based and can be used anytime, 24/7. Both single and repeating appointments can be made and reminders can be sent to both yourself and your client.

Single or multiple service providers can be included on the calendar, so businesses like nail salons or multi-unit plumbers can use them as well. Service prices, options, and other details can also be included in the calendar when scheduled.

Clients can log into Schedgit from your website or a search portal, but this does require them to create an account. Schedgit does not integrate smoothly with current websites, though a competent professional developer may be able to accomplish this. As the schedule/business owner, you also get access to the client’s login emails and can ad them to lists for promotions. This could be dangerous, however, given the proclivity of spam protocols.

It’s likely that those on the go with mobile and receptionist-less businesses that need easy scheduling will find Schedgit useful–especially if your business is phone and Web based. If they build an API for developers to use so that Schedgit can be fully integrated into an existing website (even at a fee), I can see how this concept would go far.
