Send Flow – Broadcast and Manage SMS/VM Messages Online

sendflow.pngPolling, automated phone scheduling, reverse auction alerts, and more are all things that many sites are beginning to use to facilitate a broader, more interactive audience.  There are a lot of potential uses for this sort of technology, but it’s relatively expensive to integrate in most applications.

SendFlow.com is hoping to change that.  With a free tool for building the response methods, surveys, etc. and with a cost-per-send pricing structure, it may be able to do that.  Of course, not every site or marketing campaign can benefit from including telephone polling, for instance, but there are a lot who could.

Political campaigns love phone polls and this would work well for them to integrate the poll with their website.  Businesses that use online tools for scheduling, such as a beauty salon scheduling clients, could benefit from the addition of automated SMS messaging to remind customers of their appointments.

Those are just a couple of scenarios, but they convey how this kind of integration between a business, its website, and mobile devices could be enhanced.

SendFlow is free to use until you actually begin sending messages offline (online services like Gooogle’s G-Talk and SIP are free).  Using a spreadsheet-like graphical tool, you build a message stream.  It can be as simple as just sending a message like “Hi, [name], just a reminder of your appointment at my beauty shop at 3pm.  See you then!” to fully interactive polls with multiple choices and directions of flow.

Rates to use SendFlow for SMS or voice messaging vary by country.  In the united states, it’s about 10¢/each (€0.056).  UK and most EU prices are roughly the same.

SendFlow is in open beta and is based in Lithuania.

Thanks for a great review! I'd like to add here that this platform is suitable not just for SMS texting but interactive Voice services as well. And on free services side I'd like to mention a possibility to connect interactive voice services with your website.
