Logi Analytics Intros Hourly Pricing for Analytics Tool

Logi Analytics is offering hourly pricing for its Logi Vision software on Amazon’s AWS Marketplace, hoping it will help cloud apps become more flexible to companies’ needs.

The Holy Grail that is cloud services brought the promise of a computing infrastructure that companies and startups could expect to be responsive to their individual needs and be truly on-demand. This sort of bespoke service would mean savings in the long term as enterprises scale up their operations. In reality, the terms and conditions of most cloud applications restrict flexibility meaning they are not much better than on-site premises.

By trying to change this Logi Analytics is hoping to allow companies to flexibly negotiate fluctuating business intelligence requirements and anticipate market changes. It is introducing an hourly pricing option for its Logi Vision analytics software on Amazon’s AWS Marketplace, offering a self-service tool that can be used when needed.

Logi Vision will be available at the times the customer requires it and they only need to pay for what they use. The tool will also store the customers’ data allowing easy retrieval for future use. They can still expect product support from the Logi Vision Community.

In a statement. David Abramson, director of product management at Logi Analytics, said, “Logi Vision for AWS simplifies the way business users interact and work with data, and provides a flexible, self-service analytics and dashboard solution for workgroups in an on-demand environment.”

Abramson stated the tool incorporates a collaborative feature that offers “activity streams” of information to users, such as administrators and business executives, allowing them to monitor activity in their work groups. The flexible nature of the tool’s usage means staff can be more self-sufficient in the way they work.

In the short-term Logi intends to expand its monitoring and administrative tools. Abramson added, “we plan to continue to offer more options for users to have additional visibility into their organizations.”

Abramson also indicated he expects more vendors to offer on-demand services in the future.

“As services like AWS, Azure and other public clouds continue to grow their communities, users will start looking for more applications and services that are made available for on-demand consumption.”
