Facebook activates its Safety Check feature after London Bridge attack

Facebook has activated its Safety Check feature after the attack on London Bridge that has left six dead.

Users of the social network can use the Safety Check tool to reassure contacts they are “safe” and check up on friends who were in the area at the time.

The tool was activated after a white van ploughed into pedestrians on London Bridge before three men got out and reportedly stabbed bystanders.
