Rick Saunders from Manhattan Beach launches social network for renters and landlords

Rick Saunders wants to help revolutionize the often frustrating process of finding roommates and dealing with landlords.

Saunders, who grew up in Manhattan Beach, launched the website RoomerResume.com last month. He describes the site as a Yelp meets LinkedIn for roommates.

“With RoomerResume, you can bring your interactive rooming resume with you, wherever you go and have everybody rate or review you,” Saunders said. “At some point, I want it to be such a common place to where it’s like Linkedin. If you don’t have a rooming profile, you’re not going to get a room or you’re not going to be able to show people that you’re trustworthy to be a roommate.”
