Society Pass launches live commerce retail platform

The initiative aims to capture market share in Southeast Asia’s social commerce sector

Society Pass Incorporated and its subsidiary Thoughtful Media Group (TMGX) announced Monday the launch of TMG Social, a live commerce digital retail advertising platform in Thailand. The stock has demonstrated significant momentum recently, with a 55.56 per cent return over the past week and a 102.67 per cent gain year-to-date.

The initiative aims to capture market share in Southeast Asia’s social commerce sector, which Bain & Company projects to be worth $90 billion, according to the company’s press release.

TMG Social will offer several features including shoppable posts with product tags, livestream shopping capabilities, hashtag challenges with direct shopping options, and a creator marketplace connecting brands with influencers.

TMGX CEO Kriangkrai Chaimonglol said the company is focusing on sectors where it has established client relationships, including fast-moving consumer goods, beauty and wellness, personal care, and food and beverage. The company projects $10 million in revenue from TMG Social in 2026.

The platform’s revenue model includes campaign fees, project-based pricing, retainer arrangements, and commissions on sales generated through livestreaming events, according to TMGX CFO Heng Yan Rong.

Society Pass CEO Raynauld Liang noted that social commerce represents a significant portion of e-commerce in Southeast Asia, with up to 60 per cent of online purchases in Thailand and Vietnam influenced by social media.

Society Pass operates across digital media, travel, and lifestyle verticals in Southeast Asian markets including Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

The company’s announcement represents its latest effort to expand its e-commerce ecosystem in the region through its network of over 10,000 influencers and creators.
