Some employers are looking to install smart CCTV with temperature sensors to isolate those with the deadly virus

Employers are looking for ways to cope with the coronavirus outbreak if an employee becomes infected in a large office building or factory. Some employers are looking to smart CCTV with temperature sensors as a solution.

The CCTV camera has a built-in temperature sensor which relays data back to the building’s security personnel to help isolate those with an abnormally high temperature.

So far, a fever or high temperature has been a key symptom of the virus.

Jonathan Ratcliffe from Offices.co.uk, a National Provider of Serviced Offices and Flexible Workspaces in the UK said: Building managers are facing a nightmare with Coronavirus. One person could potentially infect hundreds meaning the building would have to close for weeks – there is going to be big money being thrown at this issue.

In a large office building, one person with the vital could infect potentially hundreds of thousands of people.

Not only is this bad for the health reasons but financially for the company.

The CCTV would mean that security personnel would need to be trained to use Smart Coronavirus CCTV to detect, divert and isolate people who could have the virus.

The CCTV can be installed in a building reception or entrance area.

They use detection software to record a person’s body temperature and can check two people walking at the same time.

Once a person is checked, the data is relayed to a central computer or shows on a screen.

Security or health personnel would then be forced to isolate the person or persons for further tests if their temperature was above average.

Mr Ratcliffe added, automating the detection process to keep those with signs of the virus is the best form of defence to protect against large offices being shut down completely. We will definitely see this technology used in large banks and financial institutions in the city.

A video of the system shows multiple people being tested as they walk into an office facility.

One person’s temperature is below average while the other’s is above average.

The person whose temperature is above average is detected as red on the screen.

The coronavirus outbreak has spiked across Europe in recent days with Germany reporting a 22 percent surge in cases yesterday.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has so far stopped short of calling the crisis a pandemic.

An increasing number of people who have not been to China or other infected countries are continuing to catch the virus.

The virus has so far killed more than 3,200 people and infected more than 94,000 worldwide.

South Korea is the worst hit country outside of China.

Around 5,621 people have been infected and 34 people have died in the country.
